So This is Bliss :: A Northwest Wedding Blog by Luxe Event ...

Dear Luxe Friend,

So many people ask us "so, who are your preferred vendors?"

and "how do you pick you preferred vendors?". . .to which we say, that's easy, it's about the relationship and their personality. (of course their skill) but above all we pride ourselves on the relationship build we have established with each of our partners.

Your wedding is such an important day that you, and we, want you to jive with all your vendors on-site the day of your wedding.

That's why we decided to show and tell a bit...show you and tell you about who we think are "Luxe bride and groom worthy" and who we think you should work with, and why.

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing a bit about our Luxe Vendor Family of cool people we work,

or like to work with. We often refer our Luxe Brides and Grooms to people we know who are down to earth, skilled, fun-loving, funny, easy-going, authentic people who LOVE their craft.

Hugs and kisses! -Luxe Event Productions

How does your consultation process work?
Your Vibrant Table Coordinator is your primary contact, helping you develop ideas, menu, a time line, and other details. We are happy to join you for several meetings, and remain in close telephone and email contact throughout the planning process. About two weeks before your event, we assign a day-of Event Manager who manages staff and works side-by-side with your coordinator, to be sure your big day runs seamlessly.
I want to book you to create my dream wedding, how do I start the process?

What are your top 5-10 tips for brides and grooms regarding their photography on the day of?
1. Think about what?s most important to you: music, food, the look, photography, location, etc? That way the professionals can help craft an event that first and foremost reflects you, but we can also help you identify where you might want to invest more of the budget and where you can save.

2. Be open about your budget. We understand it?s sometimes difficult to talk about the bottom line, but if your vendors are aware of your budget, they can help you maximize it according to your priorities and can offer realistic suggestions.

3. When shopping around, compare ?apples to apples.? Caterers, like all vendors, may present proposals very differently. Sometimes all your expected charges may not be included at first. Ask about staffing, included equipment, service charges, gratuity, transportation fees, etc. Something that looks too good to be true at first glance probably is. How awful it would be to find out weeks before your wedding ? or even worse, on your honeymoon ? that your reception will cost much more than you expected!

4. Your venue has a significant impact on your catering costs. Is there a kitchen or does your caterer need to create one? Does the venue provide tables and chairs? Do they set up and take down the tables and chairs or does your caterer need to provide staff to do so? Some venues even offer lighting services, A/V, dance floors and other equipment at discounted rates. Consider these amenities when choosing your venue.

5. Planning a wedding is a process that involves a whole cast of characters. There will be a myriad of changes and revisions. It?s completely ok to change your mind.

6. Try to meet your vendors? deadlines because they are in turn beholden to the deadline of their purveyors. For example, switching specialty linens a week before your wedding will incur late charges and rush mailing fees for your planner. They have no choice but to pass those fees on to you.

7. Assign a point person for your day-of vendors. If you have a wedding planner, he or she will be the likely choice. If not, ask a competent friend or relative who does not have a central role in the wedding.

8. This is your day. Don?t sweat the small stuff. Most importantly ? HAVE FUN!

What trend are you loving right now?
We?re trending back to white and to vintage weddings, incorporating texture with strategically placed punches of color against neutral backdrops ? understated elegance, classic yet completely modern. Imagine rich, textured linen, clustered centerpieces of pale garden blooms with wooly lamb?s ear and cotton, candles in mercury glass, cut metal or frosted glass.
